- As Velvet Assassin's Violet Summer, Melinda attends New York Comicon, representing the game and doing press work. She will also appear in CSI: NY episode #522 "Yahrzeit" as a costar.
January 2009
- Melinda films opposite Bruce Willis and Rudi Assauer for the german beer brand "Veltins". The spot will air in Germany mid March. Also, Melinda begins to work regularly for E! News, translating and voicing over the show into German.

- Melinda shoots the music video "Girls Like You" for the british pop artist Darren Styles.

- As of mid September, Melinda will be traveling to the UK for two weeks to shoot a feature film by the name of "Incendiary", in which she will play one of the main characters, Mimi. The film, with an all female cast and an unconventional script, is a fantasy thriller about two female kidnappers looking for a new beginning.
June - Oct 2008
- In July Melinda takes on the part of Violet Summer, the protagonist in the upcoming Xbox 360 video game "Velvet Assassin", which will be released in the fall of 2008. She will do photo shoots and voice over work, as well as attend gaming conferences in Germany during the summer.

- Also in July, Melinda will be shooting a pilot called "This Is Fashion", in which she plays a high strung and fiercely intelligent French model.

- She has since filmed a CSI interactive video game, followed by "To Live and Dine in LA", a comedic 35mm short film starring David Hasselhoff, and several commercial including one for the internet website "AbsolutePoker.net" and "Flagstar Bank".

- After completing a feature film in Berlin, playing the female lead in the adventure thriller "Perfect Hideout" opposite Billy Zane, Melinda Cohen moved to Los Angeles to actively pursue her career on the west coast.
